Sales Engineer

We are a growing building automation company and a Johnson Controls representative. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years’ experience selling commercial HVAC controls equipment. We are looking for an independent self-starter with a strong work ethic, and a strong background in HVAC sales, systems, and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, mechanical contractors, and building owners.
- Generate estimates and professional proposals for providing automation and/or HVAC solutions.
- Handle incoming inquiries for basic system questions, quotations, and product availability.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed log of sales activity using HubSpot CRM software.
- Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing, coordinate with Accounting and the Operations Manager.
- Provide project management on all projects.
- Maintain technical expertise on all control product lines.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.
- Excellent customer service, sales, & communication skills.
- Detail oriented & organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & CRM software to create documents to support sales effort.
- Discipline and ability to work and learn successfully without daily supervision.
- Technical degree (BS preferred) or equivalent industry experience. Prior technical sales experience in the electrical/electronics industry is desirable.
- Prior experience with Johnson Controls is desirable.
